East Houma Station

East Houma Fire Station is located at 2101 East Tunnel Blvd on the eastside of Houma. It houses Engine 3, Engine 5 and Air 1. Engine 3 is manned by a Captain, Fire Equipment Operator (F.E.O.), and two Firefighters. Engine 5 is a spare unit and Air 1 is a support unit with a casade system to refill SCBA bottles on scene. East Houma Station opened in 1974 under Fire Chief Benny Bourg and replaced the Greater Houma station about a half-mile away.
